This website is a contact point for those interested in the Foretaste Feijoa Fruit Ltd company.

We contend that 'Waitui' and 'Kawatiri' will become the most planted feijoa varieties by professional commercial growers. They have the capability for significantly higher yields per hectare combined with self fertility, better storage qualities, and improved delicious juicy tropical flavours. When compared to most other varieties they also have higher average fruit weights and lower fruit under size rejection rates.

The Home Gardener will appreciate the rich traditional flavour, and good fruit storage qualities, of 'Waingaro' fruit, from a high yielding self fertile tree with the capability to produce many large late harvest fruit.

Those Home Gardeners looking for very early fruit will enjoy using a large spoon to scoop out each excellent tropical tasting mouth full from the fruit of 'Takaka', a fast growing high production self fertile plant.

Two of our plant varieties are exclusive to commercial growers, while two plant varieties are available to consumers.

At foretaste feijoas we have an excellent team with wide ranging expertise and proven experience in horticulture, financial management, and marketing. We are keen to develop a strong healthy industry for these delicious feijoas.

Currently the breeding program is based in Golden Bay, New Zealand, with propagation at Nelson, New Zealand. Both of these areas provide excellent conditions and an ideal climate for growing industry leading feijoas.

If you are a commercial grower or feijoa retailer interested in joining our enterprise please visit the grower section and contact us for more information.
