Commercial Growers
Waitui and Kawateri are the currently available commercial varieties from Thirkettle Nurseries in Nelson, New Zealand.

Orders of Waitui and Kawateri:
Waitui and Kawateri must be ordered through contact with Foretaste Feijoa Fruit Ltd.
Growers must sign a legal agreement between themselves and the company. The contract covers the following:
- Agreement to purchase a minimum of 2000 plants over a period of 2 years or less.
- An upfront payment of 1/3 of the total cost of the plants must be made to secure nursery production. Production of plants may take up to 2 years if no stock is available.
- The delivery of the plants will follow full payment.
Purchasing Plant Stock
Waitui costs NZ$14.95 per plant + GST
Kawateri costs NZ$14.25 per plant + GST
Freight costs are additional and will vary depending on location. For most locations freight is less than $2 + GST per plant based on current rates.
Purchasing Plant Stock Growers who purchase foretaste feijoafruit ltd plants under this agreement will not be able to sell those plants except under the agreed contract conditions. foretaste feijoafruit ltd and it's authorised agents, reserve the right to sell all fruit product. foretaste feijoafruit ltd has the right to collect a marketing margin and/or a levy on the sale of the fruit. Home Gardeners
Waingaro and Takaka are currently available for home gardeners from retail outlets supplied by Thirkettle Nurseries in Nelson, New Zealand. Sales costs for these varieties will depend on the retail outlet.
